How You're Self-Sabotaging Through People-Pleasing

Do you keep saying yes when every part of you means no?

Do you find yourself shrinking, over-giving, twisting yourself into shapes that don't fit — just to keep the peace, to be liked, to be chosen?

We call it people-pleasing.

But what the Akashic Records show us is that it goes so much deeper than that.

It is not a personality trait.

It is not who you are.

It is a wound you are carrying. A wound that is shaping you.

And this week's reading revealed exactly where that wound lives, what it is costing you, and what is ready to shift.

Card 1 — Divine Feminine: The Part of You That Stopped Listening

The Divine Feminine is intuitive. She is in flow. She is magnetic. She is powerful.

But in this reading, she is giving herself away.

She is trying to fit in — with that person, that job, that relationship — because the divine feminine is so caring, so giving.

And she has stopped listening to her own intuition.

Everything in this card shows her intuition saying no.

And her voice saying yes.

She hears it.

She is just not acting on it.

Somewhere along the way, you learned that being too much — too magnetic, too powerful — was not safe.

So you adapted.

You became agreeable.

You shrunk to fit the room.

You covered over your divine feminine energy through experiences in this lifetime, and in past lifetimes too.

You are here to be the Divine Feminine. You are here to be fully in your power, use your intuition, and magnetise what you want towards you.

So what happened?

Card 2 — Ancestral Blocks: This Pattern Is Not Yours

Here is what the Akashic Records want you to hear:

This pattern did not start with you.

It is in your maternal line.

Your grandmothers. Your great-grandmothers.

Women who experienced a very real need for safety. Women who learned that making themselves smaller was how you survived.

They hid their divine feminine power so they would not stand out.

So they would feel emotionally safe.

So they would not cause problems.

They traded their truth for safety.

And that conditioning is in your DNA. It is in your nervous system. You would have watched your mother, your grandmother shrinking — to fit their partner, their job, their situation.

It was passed to you.

But when this card comes up, it carries a clear message.

You are here to be the pattern breaker.

When we do this work in the Akashic Records, we are not only clearing this for ourselves. We are clearing it for seven generations that have already been and seven generations yet to come.

You are clearing it for your ancestors.

And for your own children and grandchildren.

We do not blame those who came before us. At some point, what they did kept them safe. But you do not need to do that anymore.

Cards 3 & 4 — Inner Power & Money Alchemy: The Real Cost of People-Pleasing

Two cards came out here. And together, they tell a story that is impossible to ignore.

Every time you people-please — every time you shrink yourself, every time you say yes when you mean no —

You are leaking energy. And you are leaking income.

Your money is directly connected to how sovereign you feel in yourself.

Self-betrayal and financial blocks are the same wound wearing different clothes.

When you are people-pleasing, putting everybody else first, you are draining your energy and stepping out of your sovereignty. You are abandoning your own wants, needs and desires.

And that is what is stopping you from transforming your money story.

Alchemy means transformation.

If you are going through money struggles — not earning enough, not charging enough, unable to grow — and you are simultaneously leaking your energy by not being true to who you are, you cannot alchemise that story.

The two are not separate.

This is not about being selfish. The more you focus on yourself, the more energy you have for others. But it will be energy given in alignment, not energy given from depletion.

Card 5 — The Prostitution Wound: The Wound Beneath It All

The wound beneath this entire pattern is the Prostitution Wound.

And before anything else — the Prostitution Wound has nothing to do with sex.

It is about trading your authentic self for approval, safety, recognition, belonging.

It is about giving away parts and pieces of yourself to fit in, to keep the peace, to avoid confrontation, to feel emotionally safe.

This is why you keep abandoning yourself. This is why you keep seeking other people's approval.

You have this beautiful divine feminine energy. You are intuitive. You are powerful. You are magnetic.

But the Prostitution Wound is covering all of it.

You are not listening to your intuition.

You are not in your power.

You are not magnetising income.

Because you are trading yourself for safety and approval instead.

People-pleasing is one expression of the Prostitution Wound. But there are others — overgiving, not charging enough, saying yes to things that are out of alignment.

Many of them come back to money.

If you are not earning enough, not charging enough, overgiving — it is all the Prostitution Wound.

Understanding the wound you are carrying is step one in the healing process.

Reflection: Where are you trading your authentic self for safety or approval?

Cards 6 & 7 — Gratitude & Integration: What Is Ready to Shift

Something is completing.

And that is the invitation in this reading.

Your soul is not asking you to fight this pattern.

What it is asking is for you to honour where it came from.

Your ancestors made themselves smaller because at the time, it kept them safe. Those contracts and agreements served a purpose. But until they are cleared, they carry through lifetimes.

You do not need to do that anymore.

You are here to be the change maker. You are here to break this pattern — for them, for yourself, for future generations.

The Integration card says it is time to bring all the parts and pieces of yourself back home. This is a soul retrieval moment — calling back everything you have given away.

And Gratitude says: be grateful for this understanding. Be grateful for the healing. Be grateful to your ancestors for what they carried so that you could be here today.

"I choose me. I honour my truth. I am no longer abandoning myself for anything or anyone."
